Generally Students meet 1-2 times a week either individually, paired or small group. During our sessions we will work directly on the skills as outlined in our plan
Depending on the grade, we will send home short manageable assignments to be completed and returned to us the following week.(this will be different for middle school students) we know kids have other homework, sports, dance and all kinds of other after school activities. All assignments will take that into consideration. Our goal is to have meaningful at home practice to build confidence and still allow a kid to be a kid!
Parents are encouraged and welcome to check in at the end of each session to chat about progress and skills to work on. Communication is key as we all work together to build confidence and success!
**Please remember we want every session to be specific to your child and what will help them be most successful. We will be working as team to make this happen!
Step #1 Give us a call or fill out the the contact form so we can talk for a bit and set up our initial session.
Step #2 Once we have our initial session scheduled, please feel free to gather any reports, assessments or info that will help us understand where you child could use support.
Step#3 During our first meeting we will get to know each other and discuss goals and thoughts around tutoring. Then, depending on the subjects, we will do some stress free informal evaluating. We can easily and quickly assess where your child is and determine the skills we need to work on in order to boost confidence and success.
Step #4 Once we have our schedule set, it’s time to roll up our sleeves and get to work! We will specifically tailor each session to match the skills your child needs to work on. We’re more than happy to contact your child’s teacher as well to see how we can best support classroom success. Students and parents are encouraged to bring in any work, questions or concerns. We’re happy to provide support in any way possible.
**Need work to take home for extra practice? Just ask. We have a mountain of resources to support any skill, any grade and any subject. All of which is included with your session price.
Do you have friends or classmates who would also benefit from tutoring? Why not pair or group up? we are more than happy to work with up to 3 students at one time. This is an exceptional way to build skills and confidence! Working in a small groups is not only a great way to improve academic skills, but it allows students to work on the crucial skills of asking questions and self-advocacy. In our small group sessions we will emulate real classroom experiences so students can hit the ground running in school with lots of skills to increase success and confidence.
multiple sessions per week siblings **TMT Cancellation policy: All sessions cancelled under 24hrs will be charged the full rate. Sessions cancelled between 24-48hrs will be charged 50%. Sessions cancelled with more than 48hrs notice will not be charged.
**Quarterly Cancellation Pass: We know things happen and situations come up. So each quarter(every 3 months) families are allowed one late cancellation at no charge. This cancellation must be made at least 2hrs prior to your session. Under 2hrs will result in a full charge. These quarterly passes are one per student, per quarter and cannot be accrued over time.

**Parents also now have the option to manage sessions online. Using the family portal option of our scheduling platform you are able to cancel sessions yourself. It’s easy to do, just reach out if interested and we can send you the link to get logged in. We’re happy to walk you through it if you have any questions as well.
Please remember that most sessions can be done remotely.
